Yesterday, Dominic, Robert and I went to San Rafael to check out the street painting festival. I admit that my expectations were low - I thought it would consist of cheesy chalk drawings on the asphalt, but as you can see here, the pastel renditions on the freshly re-paved street were stunning!
We strolled along, had some nice food and wine at the event (where Robert ran into a friend from LA), then went into the San Rafael Mission (as you see in this picture) and bought a lovely Mother Mary statue that we've positioned on our terrace.
In the evening, we tried out the rotisserie as Dominic had prepared a gorgeous whole chicken with rosemary, lemon and garlic. A wonderful day.
