I thought it was pretty cool that both Vic and I have experimented in black-and-white acrylic portraiture! Meanwhile, his apples were painted in oil and look fab. He's been taking lessons from a real pro, and one of her tips is to blend the subject's primary color with the shadow (for example, include some of the green and red from the apples into the shadows for more life-like appearance).
