Billion Dollar Boys Toys

Yesterday, Dominic and I attended the Keiretsu Forum's cocktail mixer at The Mallya Collection of Historic Rare Cars in Sausalito. I was bummed that I forgot my camera, as I think my friend Ed Soo Hoo would have died and gone to heaven if he could have seen this amazing collection of priceless cars gathered in one place. The interesting thing is they all still work - and they are even entered into races. One of the historic Jags was raced across America and only needed gas and oil to keep it going (the car is worth $4 million, so it's a good thing it didn't get dinged along the way!).

These two here (they were not only in the showroom, but they were also replicated as 56" x 80" acrylics on canvas -- which is what you see there), are representative beauties.

The black car is a Jaguar D Type Short Nose (Ex Works) and the red is a Mercedes Benz 300 SL Roadster (sorry I don't have the year).

Dominic was writing his list for Santa... as you can imagine. There were plenty of fun toys for the boys.
