Phew - just finished my DPG assignment for this month "An Inspiration." I woke up this morning, checked Flickr to see if Vic indeed made the deadline (of course he would), and got cracking. I had visited The Gap's museum earlier in the month with a girlfriend that works there and was inspired by the 6 Chuck Close paintings I saw, so here you go - Chuck Close's eye, Chuck Close style.

I also redid a painting I did of Olivier and Dominic. Still not 100% happy with it. The moral of the story - don't paint people you know because it will never look quite right (at least in my case).

Now my back is aching from standing all day. Time to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the late summer sun!
