Catching up

I've been out most of the week, attending the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. It's a gathering of all things Internet from around the world. The thing that amused me this year is the number of "hallway crashers." People would wander the halls of the Sheraton Palace in order to bump into friends, colleagues, and business partners coming out of the conference -- all the benefits of networking at a conference without the $3500 fee. Smart.

Yesterday, Terry and Olivier also arrived from Europe, so we have three generations of Johnson's in the household. Riley is especially happy to see Olivier - I can tell even while sitting upstairs because he's barking like a loony dog downstairs.

Speaking of which, I'm here catching up on the 100s of emails I missed yesterday (hopefully most of them are junk so I don't have to sift for too long). Am also enjoying a bit of jazz with the renewed view (we topped a few trees).
