Flying over Mt Rainier, WA

As we left glorious blue skies in San Francisco yesterday, I was convinced we'd encounter grey and mist in Seattle, but I was surprised to find clear skies and vistas for miles and miles as we descended upon the Pacific Northwest. It was so special, in fact, that I had to whip out my camera on the approach into SeaTac as Mt Rainier loomed beautifully in the distance. Here you see tiny houses juxtaposed against the huge dormant volcano serenely dominating the landscape.
