We are currently experiencing a major storm in Ross. We tried to drive to South Bay this morning for meetings but were turned back when we got to the freeway as the entrance was closed. I took a back road home and ended up driving through a flooded area and lost the brakes. Luckily we're now home but there are sirens and a blow horn blaring from the town of San Anselmo. I also just received this email from the Town of Ross:
THIS IS AN EMERGENCY WARNING FROM THE TOWN OF ROSS. THE CORTE MADERA CREEK HAS EXPERIENCED A RAPID RISE IN RAIN WATER RUNOFF AND THE POSSIBILITY OF FLOODING EXISTS. RESIDENTS LIVING WITHIN FLOOD PLAIN AREAS ARE ADVISED TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY MEASURES TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
EMERGENCY CREWS ARE RESPONDING TO CALLS BASED UPON PRIORITY, CALL 911 FOR LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCIES.
I'll keep you posted...
